have the mental toughness to go on the road and win in this league. Is Zach McCabe poised to have a great senior year? Zach is in good shape. He's shooting the ball extremely well and is different kind of leader because he's not a big talker. Zach's a worker, he's tough and smart, has savvy, and is not afraid of a situation whether it's who he's guarding, or it being the end of the game. He is not afraid to make a play, and that's what I love about him. Iowa won a school-record 18 home games last year… do you feel Carver-Hawkeye Arena has returned to one of the toughest places to play for opponents? There's no question. We had a lot of sellouts last year (six), and I believe we'll have even more this season. I go back to the Illinois game last year, we had 14,500 for that game. It wasn't a sellout, but the bottom line was that there was a winter storm outside with everyone telling people to stay home and the fans showed up, cheered for us and went crazy in that building. We have differ- because we wanted to take the pressure off his foot. We had no intention of moving him there, although he did ent players who can score, multiple 3-point shooters, score well and always has and always will. He's going to some size and can throw the ball inside, and we don't play a lot of point guard, but with Devyn clearly more have to rely on jump shooting. We've always been a driving team, a team that got to the free throw line, and comfortable as a point guard, we'll probably play Mike that won't change. I feel good about the team that I put at the two, set him up a little more and try to increase out on the floor knowing that we're going to be able to his points per game from nine to 15. score whether we're home or on the road. What improvements have you seen in Anthony Clemmons' game? Describe Jarrod Uthoff 's game: Anthony worked hard in the gym this offseason. He Jarrod will primarily play the three and the four. The has a new confidence level and his perimeter shot has thing with Jarrod is he's as complete a forward as we really improved. The overseas trip was beneficial for have. He was a little tentative at times overseas and Anthony because he saw extended minutes against that's why I thought the trip would be good for him because he has been in college for two years and hasn't quality competition. He is going to see a lot of playing time in the backcourt this season. played in any games. When he's playing with confi24
