Hot Tomo-le: Return of
Zadro a spark for Badgers
Senior recognized for outstanding weekend
n sports, and in soccer especially, every second matters.
Just ask those in attendance
at Sunday's men's soccer
match. After trailing for most
of the second half, the Badgers
tallied a pair of goals in a span
of less than three minutes, including the overtime period,
to put away the Blue Demons.
Much of the credit goes to
savvy passing and a headsup play from freshman Nick
Jones, who slithered an assist
through a couple of DePaul defenders to Tomislav Zadro for
the equalizer.

Soccer and College Soccer News following this weekend's performance, not
only tallied the equalizer and assisted
on the game-winning score in overtime
against DePaul, but matched that outing
with a three-point performance in UW's
home opener against Western Michigan
on Sept. 6.
Zadro is by far the most vocal leader
of this year's team, which boasts 13 upperclassmen, and if the senior continues
to show that his bark is as fierce as his
bite, the Badgers are in very good hands
in 2013.
