ASK THE BADGERS
QUESTION OF THE WEEK:
What's the best advice you've
received from a coach?
MIKAYLA JOHNSON // FRESHMAN // WOMEN'S HOCKEY
"The best advice I've received from a coach is from my
brother, Doug, who told me instead of focusing on 'making it' that I need to focus on being the best that I can be,
and things will fall into place. I use this advice not only
in hockey, but in my everyday life. When I face adversity,
I find success when I take a step back, stop worrying
about everyone else and focus on doing the best I can."
MICHAEL BRICE // SENIOR // MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
"The best advice that I received was from coach Mick Byrne during my freshman year. He told all of us to enjoy the
pursuit. He said that we would never get this time back so
we should enjoy every step of the process and have fun."
CARLY VOGEL // JUNIOR // WOMEN'S SOCCER
"The best advice I've gotten from a coach was to
just stop being afraid and commit entirely to what
I'm doing, whether it is on the field or off, and good
things will follow. I use that thought in everything I
do now, whether it's looking for a job or internship
opportunities, in school or on the field."
