he UW Golf Training Center was dedicated on Nov.
16, 2012. Included in the
facility are men's and women's
locker rooms, a team lounge, team
meeting and study room, coach's
offices, chipping and putting
area, heated hitting bays, video
hitting bay and a heated putting
lab. University Ridge is one of the
finest golf courses in the state of
Wisconsin and with the addition
of this new $2.8 million facility, it
will rank among the top collegiate
indoor and outdoor golf training
centers in the country.
Thanks to the impact of generous donor support, the completion
of the Golf Training Center allows
the UW Men's and Women's Golf
teams to practice year round. In
its first year open, the Golf Training Center helped:
• The women's golf team finished
23rd at the 2013 NCAA Division 1
Women's Golf Championship, the
best finish in school history.
• Kris Yoo recorded a school-record
65 at the NCAA Regional, helping
to lead the Badgers back to the
NCAA Championship for the first
time since 2003.
