'' '' ASK THE BADGERS QUESTION OF THE WEEK: With moving day being Aug. 15 on campus, what is your housing arrangement for 2013-14? TORI BLAKE // FRESHMAN // VOLLEYBALL "As a freshman who came in early at semester, I sublet a room in an apartment with teammate Julie Mikaelsen. When we were cleaning our old apartment, we moved the refrigerator and found what looked like a dead animal under it. Since there was a knife lying next to it, we thought someone had killed it. Turns out it was just a large dust bunny! Next year, I'll be a regular freshman and move back into the dorms with teammate Lauren Carlini." ZAK SHOWALTER // SOPHOMORE // MEN'S BASKETBALL "Nine of us on the basketball team are living together next year. We've got three apartments next to each and two that have big attached balconies. Sam (Dekker), Mark (VandeWettering, team manager) and I are in one apartment. Josh (Gasser), Z-Bo (Zach Bohannon), Ben (Brust) and Duje (Dukan) are in another room down the hall. Frank (Kaminsky), George (Marshall) and Jordan (Smith) are in a third. Sam, Mark and I just bought a huge 3D TV with eight pairs of 3D glasses for our apartment, so I'm guessing everybody will be in our place during the winter." ETHAN HEMER // SENIOR // FOOTBALL ROOMMATE: Traevon Jackson, Men's Basketball "My original roommate was (former UW cross country runner) Drew Shields and, through a series of events, he was unable to live in our current spot. I was scrambling to find a replacement and it got to the point where I needed to find one. It was a month before we were moving in. I called Kaity (Stilling) in the football office and she talked to the basketball director of ops (Luke Wainwright). That's how Trae and I got hooked up. I actually knew him from Athletes in Action. We knew each other and we had talked quite a bit, but it wasn't like we were great friends or anything like that. I think he's a great guy. It will be interesting to see how it all works out. He moves in Saturday." 24 // VARSITY August 15, 2013
