SIENA SENIORS HAVE CLASS
Siena tied for the third most candidates nationally for the prestigious Senior
CLASS Award this year.
An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School,®
the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student athlete and encourages
students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in
their communities. It honors notable achievements in four areas of excellence –
community, classroom, character and competition.
JANNIS OPALKA – MEN'S SOCCER
• Two-time NSCAA All-North Atlantic Third Team selection
• Two-time Second Team All-MAAC and three-time MAAC All-Academic
Team selection
• 2011 MAAC Male Nominee for the NCAA Sportsmanship Award
LESLI AKEO – VOLLEYBALL
• One of two MAAC nominees for NCAA Woman of the Year
• Two-time MAAC Defensive Player/Libero of the Year
• Siena's all-time leader in digs (2,285)
O.D. ANOSIKE – MEN'S BASKETBALL
• Led nation in rebounding each of the last two years

• Represented the United States on u22 Elite National Team
