JAMAR FLETCHER
FOOTBALL • 1998-2000
The 2000 Jim Thorpe Award winner as the nation's best defensive back, Fletcher
was an All-American during each of his three years at Wisconsin. Fletcher played on
back-to-back winning Rose Bowl teams, and had a 46-yard interception return for a
game-winning touchdown in the 1999 Rose Bowl. He holds the Big Ten record of five
interceptions returned for touchdowns, and is tied on top of the Wisconsin career interceptions list with 21. Fletcher was named to the 1990-2000 Big Ten All-Decade team
and one of the Top 100 Greatest College Players. Drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the
first round of the 2001 NFL Draft, he played nine seasons in the league.
