To describe the Black Canyon as dramatic
is something of an understatement. Carved
into the earth by the powerful Gunnison
River, its depth alone is enough to take your
breath away. From pine forests at the rim
to plunging gorges and shady, vertical walls,
no other canyon in North America combines
such a wide range of ecosystems, narrow
openings and startling depths.
