SOFTBALL
The Badgers made their season debut in the
national rankings this week, checking in at
No. 23 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 and ranking No. 25 in the USA
Today/NFCA Division I poll. It is the first
time since the 2002 season that the Badgers
have been ranked in the NFCA poll and first
ranking ever in the USA Softball poll.
MEN'S HOCKEY
Freshman forward Nic Kerdiles finished out his first season at Wisconsin with
points in each of his last 12 games, including a six-point stretch at the
WCHA Final Five that earned him tournament MVP honors. He finished
March as the nation's leading scorer among rookies and was the secondhighest scoring player in the country for the month.

With three doubles at Iowa last week, Whitney Massey jumped
from No. 18 to No. 2 in the nation with 0.45 doubles per
game. Last season, Massey set a school record with 22 doubles
and led the nation at 0.42 doubles per game.
MEN'S SWIMMING
Sophomore Drew teDuits won the
200-yard backstroke at the 2013 NCAA
Championships, finishing in 1:38.27,
the third-fastest time in NCAA history.
teDuits' individual NCAA title was UW's
first in over half a century and just the
school's third overall.
