AMONG THE BEST
Once again in 2012, the BU men's varsity eight boat reached the Grand Final at
the IRA National Championships for the second time in four years. The varsity
eight finished sixth in the 2012 Grand Final and BU finished seventh overall in
the team standings. The Terriers' performance at the National Championships
showed that BU is one of the top rowing programs in the country.

WORLD CLASS
HEAD COACH TOM BOHRER
Entering his fifth season at the helm, head coach Tom Bohrer brings a wealth
of experience to the Terriers. Inducted into the National Rowing Hall of Fame
in 2010, he earned a silver medal in both the 1988 Seoul Olympics and 1992
Barcelona Olympics, while also serving as team captain in 1992.
CROWN JEWEL
Dedicated on October 23, 1999, the DeWolfe Boathouse is a first-class facility that serves as the
crown jewel of the rowing program. It lays just below the finish line of all collegiate races on the
Charles River and serves as the starting line for the annual two-day Head of the Charles Regatta.
2013 ROSTER
Boston University recruits standout student-athletes from around the world to don
the scarlet and white and has had several men compete in both the Olympics and
the World Championships. The 2008 Beijing Olympics alone featured four Terriers,
including three members from the 2006 varsity eight boat – Will Daly (USA), Jozef
Klaasen (Netherlands) and Florian Mennigen (Germany).
