UW earned a No. 4 seed in the 2011 NCAA Tournament and knocked off No. 13 seed Belmont, 72-58, in the first round (March 17) and No. 5 seed Kansas State, 70-65, in the second
round. Led by senior Jon Leuer, who averaged 20.5 points per game, the Badgers hit 50.0
percent of their 3-pointers in Tucson, advancing to the Sweet 16 in New Orleans.

FIRST OF SIX: Wisconsin defeated Denver, 4-2, to win the first NCAA hockey championship in school history. Tournament MVP Dean Talafous scored the game-winning
goal midway through the second period.

TWO IN A ROW: Donny Pritzlaff won his second-consecutive NCAA wrestling title
by knocking off Joe Heskett from Iowa State in a 3-1 overtime decision. Pritzlaff became the fourth wrestler in UW history to win back-to-back NCAA titles.

RECORD BREAKERS: The women's hockey team broke or tied 18 NCAA records on
its way to a second-consecutive national championship. The Badgers defeated Minnesota Duluth, 4-1, in the national championship game.
