Badgers set to honor
lone senior on Thursday
Tiera Stephen plays in final home game

or senior Tiera Stephen,
her final season will go
down as the best year of her
career. The 5-foot-7 point
guard is the lone senior on
the Badgers��� squad this season and will be honored in
postgame ceremonies Thursday night.

without her out there,��� said
head coach Bobbie Kelsey.
Stephen transferred to
Wisconsin after playing at
Louisville her freshman season. She played a reserve
role for the Badgers her first
two years but this season has
started 26 of 27 games at the
point. The Akron, Ohio, native ranks among the top
players in the Big Ten in assists and
steals per game.
Stephen is averaging season bests
of 5.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.7 steals per game. She has
135 assists this season, more than her
first three seasons combined, which
ranks eighth on the UW season record list. Stephen also has 74 steals
this year and needs nine takeaways
to move into the top 10 on the season
record list.
Rochel tallies 100 blocks
�� With four blocks at Northwestern
on Feb. 23, junior Cassie Rochel
went over the 100 career block
mark. The 6-4 post has 101 blocks
in her career, which ranks 10th on
the UW all-time list. Amy Wiersma
(1995-99) currently ranks ninth
with 103 career blocks.
Rochel is averaging 2.6 blocks
per game this season, which leads
the Big Ten and ranks 15th nationally. She has 67 blocks on the season, which ranks fourth on the UW
season record list.
