TIME: 2012 Alpine Bank employees will contribute 38,244 hours of volunteer service in 2012, the equivalent of 18 full-time workers over 12 months. TALENT: Alpine Bank received these awards and recognitions in recent years, thanks to the contributions and talent of the entire team. 2006 International Standards Organization (ISO) Certification The ISO 14001 is a globally recognized Environmental Management System standard of excellence. Alpine Bank was the first financial institution to receive this distinction in the United States. First earned in 2006 and maintained since then, this honor for the Alpine Bank Green Team validates the ongoing environmental stewardship in every Alpine Bank location that is accomplished through recycling, reduction of fossil fuel use, and many other conservation practices. Saving energy and water as well as reducing pollution and waste not only saves money, but provides better, cleaner services to our communities and our customers. 2007 Alpine Bank received the 'National Philanthropy Day in Colorado Award' in the large business category. 2008 Colorado Environmental Leadership Program The Environmental Leadership Program is a recognition and reward program of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment's Division of Environmental Health and Sustainability. It recognizes businesses and organizations that voluntarily go beyond compliance with state and federal regulations for conservation and sustainability, and are committed to continual improvement. Alpine Bank was the first financial institution to participate and is an impressive Gold Tier member, an annual distinction it has earned since 2008. 2009 Silver Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Recognized for 25 Years A full 50 percent of Alpine Bank is owned by its employees. The bank has fully funded its Employee Stock Ownership Plan since 1983, with a generous percentage of total salaries determined each year by the board of directors. Employees become fully vested after a six-year schedule. The national ESOP Association honored Alpine Bank for having its plan in place for a quarter century in 2009. 2010 & 2011 Top Ten Best Places to Work, 2010 and 2011 in ColoradoBiz Magazine ColoradoBiz magazine, the Colorado State Council of the Society of Human Resource Management and Jobing.com, an online employment advertising service, team up each year to produce a list of the best companies to work for in the state. Alpine Bank was identified as one of the top 10 places to work in both 2010 and 2011, recognized for its nurturing corporate culture, excellent benefits and family orientation.
