He will be responsible for overseeing the football officiat- ing program and developing comprehensive best practice programs, training, consistency, and accountabiility across all other Pac-12 officiating programs. Coleman served as the Director of Officiating for the National Football League since 2010. At the NFL, he over- saw the Officiating Development Program and managed the Advanced Development Program. As an official, he served as an Instant Replay Official for the NFL, including working Super Bowl XL, and served as a line judge in the Mid-American Conference and as a Referee in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. Coleman had a distinguished career in human resources after serving 22 years in the United States Army, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
