BEYOND BU Numerous BU wrestling alumni have gone on to bigger and better endeavors, becoming doctors, lawyers and high-ranking officers at successful companies and businesses. Each year, the team honors one of its successful alumni with the Orin G. Smiley Award. The 2011 recipient was Jason Holder (below). LEADERSHIP The Terrier wrestling program prides itself in developing great leaders, both on and off the mat. In 2011, John Hall (above) received the universitys prestigious John Simpson Award, given annually to a studentathlete who best demonstrates leadership and enthusiasm. CARL ADAMS One of the most recognizable names in collegiate wrestling, Carl Adams has truly been a pioneer and an innovator in the sport. He is in his 32nd season as head coach of the Terriers and has accumulated nearly 300 dual victories in addition to 10 conference titles. TEAMWORK Even though one man is on the mat at a time, the Terriers are a team in every sense of the word. Whether its staying after practice to shoot with a partner or encouraging teammates to get a late takedown in a big match, BU wrestlers strive to make the team greater than the sum of its parts. NCAA SUCCESS BU has sent at least one wrestler to the NCAA Championships in 30 of the past 31 seasons and four elite Terriers have gone on to earn All-America honors at the national tournament. Last season, BU had two first-time NCAA qualifiers in Kyle Czarnecki and Kevin Innis. 2012-13 ROSTER 2012-13 PREVIEW SCHEDULE/RESULTS HISTORY & RECORDS
